are you looking for a new hobby or want to make time to explore your creativity? from january 2026, I'll will be offering weekly art classes at october books in portswood.
classes are open to all levels and cover a wide-range of techniques including watercolour painting, drawing, mixed media and clay, and include basic materials plus a hot drink.
whether you’re a curious beginner or a seasoned sketcher, you’ll learn and develop in a supported environment where experimentation is greatly encouraged!
local paint out sessions and gallery visits are also included, offering trips to places such as southampton common, netley abbey, god's house tower and more.

classes run in six week blocks and topics change every term, meaning that you can stay on and continue developing alongside the group if you enjoy it.
